Capabilities
Gordon Price Diefenbach is the Founding Member of Diefenbach PLLC. As a trial lawyer his areas of interest and capabilities are in complex torts, doctor and hospital negligence, compensation for construction site injuries, class actions, mass torts, pharmaceutical (bad drugs and devices) law, employment law, and matrimonial law.
Prior to Diefenbach PLLC he was an associate at Martin, Clearwater & Bell, LLP, a Top-100 law firm, engaged in complex tort litigation, including insurance defense of medical malpractice, hospital liability and products liability cases. In 1989, he was one of the associates under the wings of legal luminary Frank Bensel, who helped defend the lawsuit brought by the Estate of Andy Warhol against New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, which had sued the hospital for his death. In 2002, in another major case, he was hired as appellate counsel by a trial lawyer who had successfully obtained a $55 million jury verdict against Lloyd’s of London. In 2004, he was hired by a trial attorney who successfully sued the City of New York in a police brutality case, where the latter obtained a jury verdict of $ 50 Million. Bar memberships currently include, or have included, the Federal Bar Association, the Federal Bar Council, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, the New York City Bar. He is a former Judicial Arbitrator in the New York City Civil Court, New York County, having taken the Judicial Oath of Office in such capacity.
